Is This You?

We offer our services primarily to entrepreneurs and executives and owners of potentially high growth SME businesses in Ireland, UK, Germany and USA

Our clients come from diverse business activities throughout Ireland, UK, Germany and USA. The one common denominator is their twin passion for developing their business and their people. Whilst they have expertise in a wide variety of different disciplines in providing goods and services, they still remain open to what is happening at the cutting edge of leadership best practice.

Do you recognise any of these scenarios?

Financial meltdown causing serious difficulty and many have never faced such a downturn. You have to consider laying off people and make very serious decision to come through this challenging crises.

The business has grown but you are not sure of the strategy to take it to the next level. You built the business from scratch, suffered many set backs but overcame them all. The business is profitable but you know deep down the business could do so much better. You know you could provide a better service than most, but you have no one to bounce your ideas off?

Under your guidance the business grew substantially, but you have reached the ceiling of complexity and are constantly fire fighting. You are not helped by long serving directors who subtly sabotage your efforts to transform the business into the lean fast growth business you know it can be.

Frustration has become a common companion as deadlines are missed and costly overruns become too frequent? You are stressed because demand exceeds resources both mental and physical and options appear to be too few.

Poor team work and lack of follow through. Some of your people just have not quite matched your earlier expectations in spite of the many pep talks and warnings for failing to meet the level of service the company expects. Also current employment legislation is restrictive.

Skills shortage in new potential growth areas and difficulty finding the right staff. A new senior manager of your new business unit is clearly over his head. It is stressful for you and stressful for him, Your are wrestling to find a breakthrough solution to the dilemma.

Competitive advantage under threat, profit margins and market share being squeezed. New faster smaller companies offering the same service for less and their approach is attractive and more innovative. Too few new initiatives from within the organisation.

Motivation and moral problems. You have seemingly squeezed the last ounce of productivity from your people. External incentives showing a diminishing return. Motivational talks no longer have a real impact. Too few people walking the talk. Searching for the next breakthrough.

Sales growth fallen behind the growth in the market. Sales team unable to capitalise on an expanding market. Customers more demanding and far more discerning. Not sure how to restructure the sales team or which strategy to adopt to turn the situation around.

Communication difficulties causing internal and external problems with clients. Serious misunderstandings occurring frequently. Too much valuable executive time spent correcting common mistakes.

Relationship management problems. Outdated office politics and restrictive practices still draining the company of creative energy. No real collaborative synergy in evidence, having reached a plateau in growth.

Who is most likely to succeed using the tools of Emotional Intelligence and embrace its core principles?

Those who have a passion to break free from the constraints that hinder growth. They understand the rules of paradox, for every problem there is a solution. And their stance is always to find them. The following principles are from the book Applied EI by, Tim Sparrow & Amanda Knight

1. Each of us are in control of, and responsible for, our actions.

2. No one else can control out feelings.

3. People are different, they experience the world differently, they feel different things and the want different things.

4. However, you are OK and they are OK.

5. Feelings and behaviour are separate. Being out of touch with our feelings does not mean being out of control of ourselves and our behaviour.

6. All feelings are self-justified, to be accepted, and important

7. Change is possible (including change of ourselves)

8. All people have a natural tendency towards growth and health.

If you think your profile is open to change and realise that different results need new approaches then take the next step.
